Pioneer Diplomatic Supplier (PDS) is the only bonded warehouse operating out of Berne since April 20th, 2007. In order to cater to the needs of the Diplomatic Community, privileged to enjoy duty free imports, imminent need was felt for a resident duty free supplier in Berne itself as the Diplomatic missions and other international organizations were greatly dependent on import from neighboring Countries resulting in at times in inordinate delays or imports turning out to be uneconomical due to the freight component of the consignment. In order to facilitate a hassle-free prompt import of diplomatic goods and to afford the diplomatic community the convenience of receiving them at their door-steps, As also to obviate even the need for driving down personally elsewhere, PDS decided to open a bonded warehouse in Berne. PDS therefore embarked on the pioneering effort to ensure prompt, speedy and door-step supply of duty-free imports to the diplomatic community in Berne. |
